Can’t wait to meet you.
No surprises, walk in like you’ve been here before.
We know going anywhere as the “new person” can be intimidating. And that’s especially true when going to a new church (whether you grew up in church or not).
We want to help make your first experience at Mountainview Christian Fellowship a great one!
Let us introduce ourselves…
At Mountainview Christian Fellowship, all are welcome. No one is left out. We want you at the party.
We don’t believe that following Jesus is boring. It’s not all about complying with a set of rules. It’s about listening to and following Jesus.
Are you tired, weary, or restless?
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
Jesus is inviting you into a “life that is full and abundant.”
A life that may not be free from pain or difficulty, but it is a relationship with the Divine who said he would always be with us.
At Mountainview Christian Fellowship you’ll find a growing multi-generational church of multi-ethnic people from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds and a spectrum of political views.
What binds us together?
We are united in his love, his grace, and his mission to invite all into the family of God.
Come—there’s room at the table for you.
What to expect
What is the service like?
A typical worship service at Mountainview is 60-75 minutes long.
- The band starts by leading us in 2-3 contemporary style songs.
- Every week we also pray and give God praise in groups.
- Then one of our staff or leaders will welcome you, dismiss the kids to children’s church, and share some announcements.
- Someone from our teaching team will give an encouraging and practical message from Scripture.
- We usually close with a song.
What do I wear?
The dress code is casual at Mountainview. In fact, whatever you’re wearing right now is probably just fine.
Seriously, you’ll rarely see Pastor Abe in a suit or tie. But if you want to show off that slick blazer, or cute dress you picked up at Target…go for it!
Yet, others arrive in jeans or leggings and a comfy hoodie.
There’s no judgement here.
Although, most people do take the time to shower. 😁
What about my kids?
Kids and families are a huge part of Mountainview. So we do our best to make sure your kids have fun learning about Jesus too.
At the start of the service bring your kids to the main auditorium. We love to see parents model what worshipping Jesus through song looks like for their kids.
Mid-way through the service one of our children’s leaders* will dismiss the kids (3yr-5th grade) to children’s church.
They’ll bring the kids back to find their parents right around the closing song.
A nursery is also available during each service where our trained team of volunteers will love your babies ages 0 to 2 while you attend a worship service.
* We take your child’s safety seriously. All of our children’s leaders are vetted, undergo background checks, and are trained in working with kids.
Are you gonna ask me for money?
Nope. You are our guest.
Although we do receive an offering every week from our members and regular attenders. As a guest, when we get to that part of the service, just know we aren’t talking to you. 🙂
