I’m following Jesus.
Now What?
4 practices for new Jesus followers to grow in their faith.
Congratulations!
Following Jesus is the most important decision you can make in life. You are now in the family of God.
Let us know, we want to celebrate with you!
The instant you put your trust in Jesus as Savior and Master of your life you were made right in God’s eyes.
Daily following Jesus and striving to be more like him takes a life time.
The 4 practices below will help you succeed and grow in your relationship with Jesus.
1
Share your Jesus story
Tell someone
Like that excellent new Taco place, when you experience something as good as the love of Jesus, you just have to tell someone.
The Bible tells the encounter Jesus had with a woman, she immediately went and told everyone she could from her city.
“Many Samaritans in that city believed in Jesus because of the woman’s word when she testified, “He told me everything I’ve ever done.” So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days. Many more believed because of his word, and they said to the woman, “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this one is truly the savior of the world.”
(John 4:39-42)
God may be using you to introduce others to Jesus. Tell a friend or family member about why you decided to follow Jesus (maybe over a plate of tacos).
Get Baptized
Another way to share your Jesus story is through baptism.
Baptism is a public declaration of your private decision to follow Jesus.

Get to know Jesus through reading the Bible
Jesus wants to speak to you
The Bible is God’s story of how wants to have relationship with us, and our ultimate guide for how to live for Him.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
(2 Timothy 3:16)
Download the Bible App to have the Bible with you wever you go. Start by reading the Gospel of Mark. It’s only 16 chapters and will give you a good overview of who Jesus is and what he was like.
We encourage you to make the Bible part of your everyday life.

Talk to Jesus, he’s listening
Prayer made simple
At its most basic, prayer is talking and listening to Jesus. It’s no different than talking to your friend or a family member.
Through Jesus we have access to the all-powerful God who created and sustains the universe. Yet, He wants to have a personal relationship with you.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
(Philippians 4:6)
How to pray…
There’s many ways to pray.
- Praising God for how good He is
- Confessing any wrongdoing and repenting
- Giving thanks to Jesus for what He’s done in your life, or what you have
- Ask Jesus to help you in some way or some circumstance
- Take time to listen. Prayer is a conversation, not just a monologue.
Let’s pray together
Tell us how we can agree with you in prayer. When we pray together we strengthen each other’s faith.

Better Together
You don’t have to be alone in your spiritual journey. In fact, it works best when we encourage one another.
All the believers were together and had everything in common…Every day they continued to meet together…They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
(Acts 2:44-47)
Christians are everywhere
You’d be surprised where you’ll find other Christians. There are probably believers at your favorite coffee shop, workplace, school, and gymn. We’re everywhere! Ask around, we’d love to meet you.
