Following Jesus is better with friends.
We laugh together
The Bible says,
God’s kingdom isn’t about eating food and drinking but about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.(Romans 14:17)*
Therefore we should be some of the most joyful and fun people around.
Once a month our groups will get together just to have fun. Perhaps a game night, bowling, a movie, or some other activity. Why? Because we like hanging out together. We think you will too.
* (We do love to eat when we get together, though. 😊)
We serve together
Our community groups want to make a difference in the community.
Jesus compels us to reach out to others in need. So at least once a month our groups will participate in some kind of community project together.
Such as:
- Volunteering at the Union Gospel Mission
- Paying for laundry at a local laundramat
- Putting together and distributing care packages for those experienceing homelessness
- Writing notes of encouragement for local school teachers.

We pray together
As Christians we encouraged multiple times to live life with one another.
Love one another (John 13:34)
Build up one another (Romans 14:19)
Care for one another (1 Corinthians 12:25)
Encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Pray for one another (James 5:16)
And many more.
In a Community Group is where this happens most often.
A couple times a month we’ll gather to encourage one another, study scripture and discuss the sermon together, and to pray for one another.
You deserve to have a group like this in your life.
